Fastest Way I Know to Turn $1000 into $10,000 on eBay

Somebody recently asked me: "If I were starting today and wanted to turn $1000 into $10,000 in 18-24 months doing nothing more than selling comics on ebay, what would I do." After thinking about this for a while, here's what I told them...

(1) I'd spend my $1000 buying up prime conditioned, mainstream titles that just about anyone anywhere on the planet would recognize, like Batman, Superman, Spider-Man or X-Men --these are the Big 4. I'd fight the urge to buy nothing else but these 4. No Flash. No other X-titles. No "hot" comics with big breasted women in tight outfits. Nope. Just the big 4.

(2) I would buy the big 4 in the best condition I could find them and then pay to have them slabbed and CGC coded.

(3) Once I did all this, these would be comics that would then sell on eBay. I'd set a reserve price -- even though most times you shouldn't. I'd do this to ensure that I was cashing these in at a profit. And frankly, provided I've done my homework this should be a piece of cake.

(4) Then, I'd repeat this process as many times as it took to get to $10K.

Now this is my opinion. But. I don't think you can go wrong investing in the Big 4...especially any issues from 1939 to 1974. Every year they go up in value. In the last 20 years alone they've gone up 10% to 18% every damn year.

That means every year your money doubles every 4 to 8 years. I don't know of any stock, mutual fund or savings account that can say this.

What would you do if you wanted to turn $1K into $10K doing nothing more than selling comics on ebay?

Well you've been to my Blog I figured I could do you the same.
I'll be honest I never collected my Comics with the return value in mind. But I am running out of room and quite a few that I would be willing to sell. I look forward to reading more tips on selling techniques and How to make E-bay work best for me.

Donopolis -

Thanks for stopping by. This blog is exactly for people like you...those who want to enjoy the comic books they've collected over the years and also want to cash in on a few of them as well.

Of course, comic dealers, comic investors and those who just flat out love comics will benefit as well.

Best,
Alan
